SMS & text messaging terms

Comma Compliance sends account, security, and service text messages to users of our platform. This page describes the SMS program, how users consent to receive messages, and how to stop them. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Comma Compliance is a communications-compliance platform used by regulated businesses (for example, financial-services firms). The people who receive our text messages are the registered users (employees) of our business customers. We use SMS solely to support the service those users have requested, including:

  • Account verification and login codes
  • Security and account alerts
  • Transactional and service notifications
  • Customer-support replies

Opt-in is collected inside the authenticated Comma Compliance web application at app.commacompliance.com, because the platform is only accessible to registered users. The flow is:

  1. The user signs in to their Comma Compliance account.

  2. On the Account / Notification settings page, the user enters their mobile phone number.

  3. Directly below the field is an unchecked consent checkbox with the following disclosure:

    By checking this box, I agree to receive account, security, and service text messages from Comma Compliance at the mobile number provided. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

  4. The mobile number is enrolled only if the user affirmatively checks this box. No messages are sent unless consent has been given.

In addition, each business customer enters into a master agreement with Comma Compliance authorizing us to send service-related text messages to that company’s enrolled users.

Message frequency varies and depends on your use of the Services. We send messages only as needed to deliver the Services you have requested - there is no fixed recurring schedule.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Comma Compliance does not charge for text messages, but your carrier may.

You can stop receiving text messages at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation message and will not receive further texts unless you opt in again.
  • You can also remove your mobile number or uncheck the SMS consent box in your Account / Notification settings.

No mobile information, including mobile phone numbers and text-messaging opt-in or consent data, is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Opt-in data is shared only with the messaging providers that deliver the texts you requested (for example, our SMS aggregator). See our full Privacy Policy for details.
