eSIM + WhatsApp Setup

Use this guide if your organization is providing a dedicated business phone number via eSIM. You’ll install the eSIM, create a new WhatsApp account on that number, and connect it to Comma.

You’ll receive a QR code from your admin. Use it to add your business data plan to your phone.

On iPhone

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Mobile Data
  3. Tap Add Data Plan
  4. Scan the eSIM QR code with your camera

On Android

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Connections
  3. Tap SIM Card Manager
  4. Tap Add Mobile Plan
  5. Scan the eSIM QR code with your camera

Once installed, your phone will show two lines — your personal SIM and your new business line.

Step 2: Set Up WhatsApp on Your Business Number

  1. Download WhatsApp from the App Store or Google Play (if not already installed)
  2. Open WhatsApp and tap Agree and Continue
  3. When prompted for your phone number, enter your business number (the eSIM line)
  4. WhatsApp will send a verification code via SMS to that number
  5. Enter the code to verify
  6. Set up your name and profile — this is your business WhatsApp account
  1. Log in to your Comma dashboard
  2. Go to Integrations → Personal Integrations
  3. Click Connect under WhatsApp
  4. A QR code will appear on screen
  5. In WhatsApp, go to Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device
  6. Scan the Comma QR code
  7. Done — Comma will begin archiving your business messages automatically

WhatsApp shows “Linked Devices limit reached” - WhatsApp allows up to 4 linked devices. Remove an unused linked device to make room for Comma.
