Getting Started with Otter Archiving
Otter archiving is available on request through Comma. You need Otter Enterprise on the Otter side for API access. We confirm scope, setup timing and the historical date range with your administrator before you commit. This is an assisted request, not a self-service connection in the dashboard.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Confirm that your workspace uses Otter Enterprise. Otter’s public API guide identifies Enterprise workspaces as eligible for API access.
- Have your Otter workspace administrator and Comma team administrator available for setup.
- Decide which content you need: transcripts, summaries, action items, recordings, or a combination. Comma will confirm the supported scope for your workspace during setup.
- Identify a representative meeting and any historical date range you need to cover.
Request the connection
Section titled “Request the connection”- Contact Comma and ask for Otter archiving.
- Share your Otter plan, the workspace to connect, the content you need and the historical date range. Do not include API keys, private meeting links or recording content in the initial request.
- Work with Comma and your Otter administrator to arrange API access and connection configuration.
- Review the agreed capture scope and any source access, retention or recording limitations before enabling the workflow.
The Enterprise requirement here is Otter’s. Contact Comma to confirm the Comma plan and setup appropriate for your organization.
Verify the agreed scope
Section titled “Verify the agreed scope”Complete a short test meeting, let Otter finish processing it, then review the archived result with Comma. Check the transcript and meeting details, plus any summaries, action items or recordings included in your agreed setup.
A source meeting must be available to the authorized connection. Historical content and private meetings are included only where the connection has access and the source still retains them.
For the direct connection instructions for other notetakers, see Fathom setup and Fireflies setup.
