Setting Up RingCentral Archiving

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

RingCentral connects to Comma as an organizational integration. Setup is a two-step handoff: a Comma admin configures the integration and chooses what to capture, then a RingCentral admin authorizes Comma via a one-time link.

  • Comma team admin access
  • A RingCentral admin who can authorize third-party app access
  • About 5 minutes
  1. Sign in to the Comma Compliance dashboard

  2. Open Integrations in the top navigation

  3. Under Organization Integrations, find RingCentral and click Manage

  4. Click Connect RingCentral

  5. Enter a name for this connection — typically your organization name, a department, or a team (e.g. “Financing Team”, “Sales”)

  6. Click Connect RingCentral — you’ll see: “RingCentral connection was successfully created.”

  7. Your new connection appears in the list. Click Settings next to it.

  8. Under Capture surfaces, enable the surfaces you want archived:

    SurfaceWhat gets captured
CallsCall metadata: who, when, direction, duration
Call recordingsAudio recordings for calls your workspace records
    VoicemailVoicemail audio and transcript
    FaxFax documents sent and received
  9. Click Save capture settings

  10. A Connect handoff link is generated. Copy it.

Send the connect link to the person who administers your RingCentral account. They will:

  1. Click the link — it opens a Comma page explaining what they’re authorizing
  2. Click Connect RingCentral — RingCentral’s Access Request screen appears
  3. Sign in with their RingCentral administrator account if prompted
  4. Review the permissions Comma is requesting and click Authorize
  5. RingCentral may prompt for an Emergency Calling - Registered Address — this is a standard RingCentral E911 requirement, not specific to Comma. Select a digital line and click I Accept to continue.
  6. RingCentral confirms the authorization and redirects back to Comma — they can close the page. Archiving begins automatically.

No manual configuration is needed in RingCentral itself. The link handles the entire authorization.

Back on the Integrations page, your RingCentral installation will show as active. From the Settings page you can:

  • Adjust capture surfaces — enable or disable calls, recordings, voicemail, or fax at any time
  • Disconnect — remove the integration entirely

If you have multiple RingCentral workspaces or departments to archive separately, repeat the process to create additional named connections.
